about

how i came to this work

like many people, the pandemic disrupted the life i thought i had figured out.

as the world shifted quickly and uncertainty set in, long-standing patterns in my own life surfaced in ways i could no longer ignore. what had been held together by effort and momentum began to unravel.

my early life shaped much of this.

i grew up as the youngest of three boys in a largely single-parent household. depression, alcohol use, and emotional disconnection were part of the environment i learned to navigate. i began drinking young and used substances for years as a way to cope, perform, and stay functional.

for a long time, i managed to balance professional success with patterns that were slowly costing me — in my relationships, my integrity, and my sense of self.

eventually, that balance gave way.

when things fell apart

hitting bottom forced me to face parts of myself i had spent decades avoiding.

not just the painful parts — but the immature, defended, and disconnected ways i had learned to relate. it became clear that while i had grown in many areas of life, my emotional and relational development had stalled early.

this showed up most clearly in my relationships.

i began to see how narrow, reactive, and harmful some of my patterns were — and how much repair was needed. that recognition marked a turning point.

not a single moment of insight, but a sustained commitment to grow up emotionally, take responsibility, and learn how to stay present rather than protect myself.

the work was humbling. it was also transformative.

from experience to guidance

doing my own relational work changed how i live, how i love, and how i lead.

over time, it also reshaped how i work with others.

i no longer believe change comes from insight alone. it comes from practice, accountability, and learning how to respond differently when old patterns get activated.

my role now is not to fix people, but to serve as a guide — someone who can help you see what’s happening, interrupt what isn’t working, and build the capacity to relate with more honesty and steadiness.

this path is available to anyone willing to take responsibility for themselves and their relationships.

my work with men and couples

i work with men and couples who want more than surface-level change.

my focus is on teaching practical skills, relational awareness, and emotional responsibility — so people can live with more balance, connection, and integrity.

this work supports:

  • men who want clarity, direction, and deeper connection
  • couples who feel stuck in conflict, distance, or recurring cycles
  • individuals and partners ready to look at themselves without self-attack

how i work

my approach is grounded, collaborative, and direct.

i offer nonjudgmental support alongside clear guidance. clients are active participants in the work — learning to recognize their patterns, take ownership of their impact, and practice new ways of showing up.

people often describe me as warm, perceptive, and compassionate — and also as someone who will tell the truth when it matters.

my work is informed by decades of experience as a therapist, coach, and meditation teacher, and shaped by relational life therapy principles.

what sets it apart is not just the model, but how it’s lived and practiced in real relationships.

if something here resonates, the next step doesn’t have to be dramatic.

it starts with a conversation — and a willingness to do things differently.
